Camping Get Away

We just had a little camping trip!  The first days were lovely and sunny. 

We soaked up some sunshine and enjoyed time together away from the daily distractions.

We rode bikes around the campground and made a few trips to the camp store for candy!

Everyone brought along some good reading.

 

We had a lovely view of the lake with trails connecting our site to the water.

The great outdoors agreed with baby Chris! 



The children enjoyed discovering all kinds of wildlife.



A map turtle and painted turtle won our hearts.

We saw a lot of water birds and a few snakes slithered across our path.

The children spent hours on the water exploring the shoreline.



Bailey was peaceful too.

The fresh air and vitamine D shine had everyone glowing!

Alas, all good things must come to an end. 

Day three was cold and wet!



Not a happy camper.

Thankfully we had planned for a rainy day.



Hot cocoa hit the spot.



Huddled around a tiny screen!



The rain turned to drizzle.  Gracie learned to ride a bike!

We had one last s'more.

We opted to leave early and enjoy the comfort of home.

We're making plans for another trip.  Always fun and always an adventure!
